LibWatch sets as few cookies as possible. Those that make the website work do not need your consent; analytics does.

The light or dark theme chosen at the bottom of the page is not a cookie: it stays in your browser's local storage (lw-theme), only if you choose one, and is never sent to the server.

Good to know

These rules follow the recommendations of the CNIL (the French data protection authority) on cookies and other trackers.

## If you decline

The website works exactly the same. The Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics cookie is set. We only keep your refusal, so that we do not ask you again on every page.

## What Google Analytics measures

Only if you accept, and only on the public pages of the website: page views, referring website, type of device and browser, approximate city, and clicks on buttons and forms. Advertising signals are disabled and nothing is measured in the app once you are signed in. Google keeps these statistics for 14 months.

## Changing your mind

At any time, from the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page, or from the panel at the top of this one. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it, and any analytics cookies already set are then deleted.

## How long your choice lasts

6 months. After that, we ask you again, once.

## The captcha on our forms

The composer.json checker and the newsletter are protected by ALTCHA, a captcha we host ourselves: your browser solves a small calculation. It sets no cookie and does not contact any third-party service.

## What we never set

- Advertising cookies.
- Social media buttons or pixels.
- Anything that tracks you from one website to another.
